Finance & Accounts Officer II

About the role

The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is recruiting a full-time Finance & Accounts Officer II for its Nairobi office. This is the entry and training grade of the cadre, so the officer works under the guidance of a designated supervisor. The salary is open.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate payment processes as guided by the Senior Accountant and submit them for verification
• Ensure supporting documents for payments are received from users and attached to the payments
• File payment records for all transactions and reconcile payment records
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Process student and customer payments and issue receipts where appropriate
• Prepare reports on cash balances
• Provide safe custody of finance and accounts records

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications
