Finance and Contracts Officer – EU Delegation Kenya

About the role

The EU Delegation in Nairobi is seeking a Finance and Contracts Officer for its Regional Partnerships Unit. The role supports financial management, budgeting, and contract administration while ensuring alignment with EU headquarters directives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on financial and budgetary matters to Delegation staff and beneficiaries.
• Organise and deliver training on contractual and financial procedures.
• Monitor and control performance, priorities, and objectives of assigned operations.
• Identify significant issues, propose solutions, and report to the Team Leader.
• Participate in negotiations of technical and financial aspects of contracts.

Required profile

• Open to Kenyan nationals or residents with a valid work permit.
• Ability to work autonomously and support the Team Leader in decision‑making.
• Strong analytical mindset and proactive attitude.
