About the role
The Finance Manager is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and implementing financial and legal management in line with MSF standards, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the Head of Finance and Services.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate international financial reporting, including pre‑reconciliation of receivables/payables, monthly money reports and annual closure for the International Office.
- Manage finance hosting for sections, authorising advances, per diems and procurements, and providing regular reporting on hosted sections’ expenses.
- Oversee monthly and annual accounting closures, cash counts, depreciation runs and VAT receivable follow‑up.
- Ensure compliance by validating invoices, purchase orders and salary reconciliations, and submitting required compliance reports.
- Support budgeting processes, guide department heads on forecasts and improve budgeting tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of financial management experience, preferably in a non‑profit or international organisation.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or a third language is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
