Finance Manager – Financial Services

About the role

VisionFund Kenya, a dynamic financial services company and a key investment of World Vision Kenya, is seeking a Finance Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across core financial functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Manager will ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management to support the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen financial systems, ensure timely and accurate financial statements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and implement budgeting procedures, support departments in budget preparation, and monitor performance against budgets.
• Train staff in financial ratio analysis, prepare timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly cash flow projections, analyze funding options, and recommend treasury risk limits.
• Monitor financial performance against business plans, assist in preparation and consolidation of head office and branch plans.
• Assess and manage operational risks, design internal control systems, and coordinate with external auditors.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance team, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance management within a financial services environment.
• Ability to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Leadership experience in supervising finance teams and driving performance.
