Finance Manager (Hospital)

About the role

Brites Management Services is recruiting a full-time Finance Manager for a hospital in Embu. The role covers financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance and risk, and leads the finance department. The advertised salary is described as attractive.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and Kenya accounting standards, and analyse performance against budget
• Lead the annual budgeting process with department heads and review monthly budget performance
• Manage cash flow, accounts receivable and payable, and forecast cash requirements
• Ensure compliance with tax laws (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax), work with external auditors and implement internal financial controls
• Support decisions on new projects, expansions and capital investments through financial modelling and sensitivity analysis
• Lead, mentor and manage the finance team, conduct performance reviews and promote professional development
• Advise department heads on cost management, procurement, staffing and service delivery, and liaise with banks, insurers, tax authorities and suppliers
• Keep financial systems (ERP, accounting software) up to date and secure

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, CPA K
• At least 8 years of experience in a similar finance management role
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
