Finance Planning and Analysis Lead

About the role

A vertically integrated textile solutions provider, recruited through its client, is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead reporting to the Head of Finance. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, profitability monitoring and investment advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes, consolidating the companywide budget into functional budgets and business units up to profitability level.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decisions across the organisation, and monitor profitability by business unit, giving insights and recommendations.
• Consolidate profitability reports and translate business strategy into its impact on profitability and the balance sheet.
• Generate investment appraisal reports on an ad hoc basis and advise the Head of Finance on potential investments, including payback period and risk reports.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to find cost optimisation areas, monitor product costing for accuracy and profitability, and implement and track cost control measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• CPA, ACCA, CIMA or another relevant professional certification.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, with at least two years in functional or team leadership.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial modelling and strategic planning.
• High proficiency in financial modelling tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, management reporting and local regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
