Finance Systems Functional Support

About the role

CARE International is seeking a Finance Systems Functional Support professional to join its Nairobi office. The role focuses on providing Tier‑2 assistance for Oracle Financial applications, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of finance strategies defined by the Global Process Owner.
• Provide Tier‑2 support to end‑users, resolving queries and issues related to Oracle Financial Applications.
• Guide users through system functionalities to minimise operational disruption.
• Collaborate with Oracle technology teams to design and operate end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing for new processes and releases.
• Escalate complex issues to higher‑tier technical support and monitor performance trends.
• Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives within the finance functional area.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in a finance role.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with business and technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using finance systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries.
