Financial Advisor

About the role

The Financial Advisor will generate new business opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and provide tailored financial solutions. This full‑time position is based in Westlands and focuses on sales of insurance, investment, and savings products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and direct sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Understand clients' financial goals, protection needs and investment objectives.
• Promote and sell appropriate insurance, investment, savings and financial solutions.
• Conduct client consultations and explain product benefits.
• Prepare and present suitable financial proposals.
• Follow up on leads, convert prospects and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, clients, sales activities and policies.
• Support policy retention, renewals and identify additional business opportunities.
• Participate in sales campaigns, networking events and promotional activities.
• Stay informed about Britam's products, market trends and industry developments.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE Grade C‑ (Minus) or equivalent.
• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, Economics or related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in sales, insurance, financial services, banking, investments or business development is a plus.
• ECOP certification is an added advantage.
• Strong interest in financial services, investments and sales.
• Willingness to work in a target‑driven, commission‑based environment.
