Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor (1-Year Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our pea‑protein plant in Cut Knife, SK. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will ensure that all raw materials, packaging and finished products meet company and regulatory standards throughout the 1‑year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee sample collection, laboratory testing and data analysis to verify compliance of raw materials, processing aids and finished goods.
• Conduct validation studies when changes are made to raw materials, processes or equipment.
• Maintain the quality assurance calendar and manage internal audits, corrective actions and preventative measures.
• Develop, implement and maintain the Sample Monitoring Program, FSQMS, GOPs and HACCP plan.
• Create and update controlled documents such as SOPs, forms and records.
• Provide technical support and training to operations staff on food‑safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the operations team on qualification, validation and confirmation of new processes, products and equipment.
• Prepare internal and external audit reports and ensure timely submission.

Required profile

• Experience in food‑safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP/GOP and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse laboratory data and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
