Forklift Operator

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting on behalf of its client a competent, skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to work in Lamu, Kenya. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload warehouse goods and transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Optimize loads and secure them before transportation
• Inspect the forklift before operation and document it; schedule maintenance and repairs
• Operate and manage other technical equipment such as manual and electric stackers
• Manage inventory according to warehouse standards and follow OTIF and FIFO delivery standards
• Identify workplace safety hazards and adhere to safety management standards on site

Required profile

• At least 3 years of forklift operation in a busy manufacturing environment
• At least a D+ in KCSE
• Valid driver's license
• Forklift operations and safety certificate of training from a recognized institution
• Creative and innovative skills

Required skills

• Experience in forklift service and maintenance is an added advantage
• A Certificate in Automotive Engineering is an added advantage
