Fuel Station Attendant

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Fuel Station Attendant to support a US Navy fuel program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating and monitoring fuel dispensing equipment while ensuring strict safety and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate fuel station pumps, hoses, and dispensing systems for vehicles, generators and approved containers.
• Perform pre‑operation inspections and routine maintenance on all fueling equipment.
• Handle, store and transfer fuel products in accordance with Navy, Amentum and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs, usage records and inventory documentation.
• Assist with receiving, offloading and storing fuel deliveries.
• Identify and report leaks, spills or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Support general facility upkeep, housekeeping and compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in fuel operations, equipment handling or facilities support.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining beyond hire date.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work in an austere OCONUS environment.
