Functional Consultant - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

About the role

The Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant is a full‑time, on‑site role. The consultant works closely with clients to understand business requirements, map and optimise processes, and configure Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet operational and financial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into functional designs.
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations and user training sessions.
• Prepare functional specifications and support system testing.
• Document solutions and provide post‑implementation support.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations and customisations.
• Advise clients on best practices for using Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret business data.
• Excellent communication skills for facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Solid understanding of operations, supply chain and finance processes.
• Consulting experience including requirement gathering and change management.
• Finance/accounting knowledge covering general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, inventory and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in cross‑functional teams.
• Minimum 1½ years experience implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP solutions.
• Relevant certifications in Dynamics 365 Business Central or ERP solutions; CPA or Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance.
