General Accountant – Full-Time

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented General Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with Kenyan regulations, and support reporting and budgeting processes. The role will contribute to sound financial decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, perform reconciliations and maintain accurate cash/bank records.
• Manage accounts payable, supplier payments and expense settlements.
• Handle payroll processing and statutory filings (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF).
• Prepare financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow, budgets and forecasts.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records, asset registers and supporting documentation.
• Monitor risks, flag irregular transactions and uphold strong governance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and respond to stakeholder queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax and statutory regulations.
