General Manager – Bakery & Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our bakery and food manufacturing business in Nairobi. The role oversees all functions—from production and quality to sales and finance—to drive growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with the company’s vision and growth objectives.
• Provide leadership across production, sales, finance, procurement, quality, and operations.
• Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring efficient production, timely delivery, and adherence to operational standards.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, monitoring revenue growth, cost control and profitability.
• Ensure consistent production of high‑quality bakery products, implementing quality management systems and food‑safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
• Identify market trends and growth opportunities, working with sales teams to increase market share and revenue.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in managing manufacturing or food‑production operations.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
