Global Foundations Manager – Fundraising & Partnerships

About the role

Welthungerhilfe is seeking a Global Foundations Manager to diversify its funding base and strengthen long‑term philanthropic partnerships. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with country offices worldwide and the German headquarters to build a coherent global foundation fundraising strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic foundation partnerships at regional and global levels.
• Coordinate with country offices to establish processes that enable effective foundation fundraising.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of foundation donors, focusing on German and US donors as well as local foundations in project countries.
• Collaborate virtually with the Philanthropy & Partnerships team in Germany to ensure aligned engagement.
• Lead selected foundation partnership negotiations and ensure coherent global donor relationship management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in foundation fundraising, partnership development, or related nonprofit fundraising roles.
• Strong ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Capacity to develop strategic plans and translate them into actionable initiatives.
