Graduate Trainee – Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

About the role

Keda (Kenya) Ceramics Company Ltd, the leading tile manufacturer in East Africa, is launching a Graduate Trainee Programme for recent graduates in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. The role offers a structured learning path combined with practical exposure to the company’s manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training curriculum covering core engineering concepts and plant processes.
• Assist senior engineers in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support daily operations on the production floor, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Contribute to project tasks and documentation as assigned by department supervisors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Strong communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Fast learner, willing to be trained and develop technical expertise.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High integrity, professionalism and self‑motivation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
