Head Brewer – Lead Brewing Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head Brewer to lead our brewing operations and ensure the production of high‑quality beer. You will oversee the entire brewing process from raw‑material handling to packaging, while maintaining consistency, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a 10–20 bbl brewhouse, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, whirl‑pooling, knockout, and CIP procedures.
• Supervise cellar and fermentation operations, monitor fermentation data, and execute recipes with precision.
• Oversee packaging lines for both canning and kegging, ensuring proper sanitation and product quality.
• Handle yeast propagation, harvesting, and dry‑hopping programs.
• Maintain inventory, raw‑material organization, and production schedules.
• Train and mentor assistant brewers and support staff.
• Participate in pilot batches, collaboration brews, and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of commercial brewing experience.
• Hands‑on experience with brewhouse, cellar, and packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to lift 55 lb and work safely on ladders.
• Commitment to SOP adherence, hygiene standards, and safety protocols.
