Head of Changan – Commercial Lead

About the role

The Head of Changan will lead the commercial and market growth strategy for the Changan brand in Kenya, aligning with Inchcape’s objectives and the brand’s direction. This senior position is responsible for driving sales volume, revenue, profitability and market share across multiple customer segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to achieve 0.5–1% market share of the Kenya Motor Industry and annual retail volumes of 80–100 units.
• Lead the optimisation of the dealership and distribution network, including new dealership identification, third‑party partnerships and alternative sales channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEM representatives, financial institutions, corporate and fleet customers to improve vehicle affordability and conversion.
• Monitor commercial KPIs, manage budgets, and provide regular performance updates to the Managing Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field; MBA is an advantage.
• 8–10 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in automotive or related industries.
• Proven track record of revenue growth, market penetration and dealership management.
• Strong understanding of the Kenyan automotive market and OEM partnership dynamics.
