Head of Compressor Division

About the role

Ryce East Africa Ltd, the exclusive distributor of ELGi Compressors in Kenya, is looking for an experienced leader to head its Compressor Division. The role oversees sales, after‑sales service and spare‑parts operations across Kenya and the wider region, driving growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies to meet sales, revenue and profit targets.
• Lead and manage compressor sales, service and spare‑parts activities across the region.
• Build and nurture relationships with key industrial customers, accounts and strategic partners.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand market share.
• Ensure service excellence, high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Mentor, coach and develop high‑performing sales and service teams.
• Monitor performance metrics, budgets, KPIs and profitability to sustain growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial equipment sales and service, preferably with air compressors or compressed‑air systems.
• Proven track record leading sales, service and spare‑parts businesses with strong commercial acumen.
• Solid technical understanding of air compressors and their industrial applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
