Head of Design & Marketing

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Design & Marketing to shape the visual identity and growth strategy of Vanguard Powersol, a leading provider of power backup, solar energy and critical infrastructure solutions in East Africa. You will own the brand narrative, drive high‑impact campaigns and ensure every touch‑point converts prospects into loyal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and continuously optimise high‑conversion websites using Webflow and other tools.
• Create compelling brochures, copy and digital assets that generate leads and sales.
• Develop and execute brand‑centric marketing campaigns across online, offline and event channels.
• Plan, manage and promote trade shows, product launches and demo events.
• Maintain brand guidelines and ensure visual consistency across all media.
• Track leads, campaigns and performance in Zoho One.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to accelerate creative production while preserving human insight.
• Produce basic 3D visualisations and CAD sketches to illustrate product concepts.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, independent thinker who thrives without micromanagement.
• Passionate about branding and storytelling, with a keen eye for visual excellence.
• Experimental mindset – comfortable testing, iterating and scaling ideas.
• Strong collaborative spirit, able to work closely with technical and product teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva and Webflow.
• Experience creating website layouts, brochures, copy and other marketing collateral.
• Familiarity with Zoho One or similar CRM/marketing platforms.
• Comfort using AI design tools to boost productivity.
• Basic 3D modelling and CAD skills for product visualisation.
