Head of Entity, Logistics (Kenya Cluster)

About the role

Pacific International Lines is looking for a Head of Entity, Logistics to lead its Kenya Cluster operations. The role covers freight forwarding and contract logistics across Kenya and aims to establish, manage and grow logistics services in the region while driving business growth. It is a full-time management position based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead logistics operations across the Kenya Cluster in line with the company's strategic objectives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding and contract logistics.
• Oversee freight forwarding activities so goods move efficiently by air, sea and land.
• Develop and manage contract logistics services such as warehousing, distribution and value-added services.
• Manage cross-border logistics and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
• Build relationships with key clients, vendors and authorities.
• Implement supply chain best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Design multimodal solutions combining land, sea and air freight.
• Ensure P&L performance meets targets and manage costs.
• Build, manage and mentor a high-performing team.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of senior-level logistics experience, with strong expertise in freight forwarding and contract logistics.
• Deep knowledge of logistics in the Kenyan market and the wider East African region.
• Proven ability to lead teams and make decisions.
• Established network with service providers, regulators and customers.
• Hands-on problem solver, financial acumen (managing P&L), and strong communication skills.
