Head of Sales and Commercial Development

About the role

The Head of Sales and Commercial Development will lead the sales function for Brites Management Services Limited, driving growth across juice, pulp and dried‑fruit product lines in Kenya and export markets. This senior position reports directly to senior management and is responsible for shaping strategy, building distribution networks and ensuring compliance with international food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in local and export markets, targeting Uganda, Ethiopia, GCC countries and Europe.
• Build and strengthen retail, wholesale and export distribution networks across Kenya and the region.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers and key accounts, negotiating contracts and trade agreements.
• Lead brand development and market positioning for Picana juices and dried‑fruit products in collaboration with marketing teams.
• Mentor, coach and manage the sales team, setting KPIs, monitoring performance and fostering a results‑driven culture.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSC and other export certifications, working closely with quality assurance.

Required profile

• Senior level with at least 7 years of experience in FMCG sales and commercial development.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and expanding market share.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
