Head of Sales – FMCG

About the role

The Head of Sales – FMCG will drive sales growth, market expansion and revenue generation across fast‑moving consumer goods. Reporting to senior management, the role leads the sales strategy, manages key accounts and mentors the sales team to meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand distribution channels.
• Identify new market opportunities, monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies.
• Drive revenue growth through campaigns, promotions and key‑account negotiations.
• Lead, train and motivate the sales team, set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance and operations to align sales initiatives with overall business strategy.
• Provide regular sales reports and insights to senior management and represent the company at industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of FMCG sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data and use CRM/sales analytics tools.
