About the role
The Mombasa Hospital is seeking a dedicated Caterer to plan, prepare and deliver safe, nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors. You will work within a busy hospital environment, ensuring that all meals meet dietary and hygiene standards while supporting efficient service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Plan daily menus and coordinate meal preparation to meet nutritional and therapeutic requirements.
- Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff and visitors in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies and manage waste to optimise kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with dietitians and medical staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
Required profile
- Diploma in Food and Beverage Management, Catering or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a high‑volume hospital catering unit.
- Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an added advantage.
