Hospitality Officer

About the role

The Hospitality Officer will manage the daily operations of a residential property in Mtongwe, Mombasa, ensuring it is ready for short‑term guest stays. This role combines property management, guest services, and staff supervision to deliver a seamless experience for visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise security, gardening, and housekeeping staff, handling performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Manage the driver and vehicle for guest transportation as needed.
• Inspect the property daily for cleanliness, repairs, and maintenance, coordinating with the Office Manager.
• Ensure all utilities (Wi‑Fi, DSTV, air‑conditioning, electricity, water) are functional before guest arrival.
• Welcome guests, provide orientation, and maintain inventory of toiletries, linens, and furnishings.
• Prepare weekly occupancy reports and recommend cleaning or maintenance actions.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or equivalent training.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage a small team and coordinate property services.
