Hotel Housekeeper

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Hotel Housekeeper in Ngara. The role covers cleaning and preparing guest rooms, keeping public areas tidy, managing linen and supporting guests, with a stated salary of KShs 22,000.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards, make beds, change linens and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and disinfect assigned areas, and inspect rooms regularly to maintain cleanliness and presentation.
• Maintain corridors, reception areas, stairways, washrooms and other common areas, empty waste bins and clean high-touch surfaces.
• Assist with sorting, washing, drying, folding and storing linen, and report shortages of supplies.
• Respond promptly to guest housekeeping requests and report guest concerns or damages to the right department.
• Follow health regulations and safety standards, use cleaning products safely, and follow lost-and-found procedures.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, guest house, serviced apartment or hospitality establishment.
• Good understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and shifts.
• Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift during shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic training in housekeeping, hospitality or a related field is an added advantage.
