Human Resource Assistant

About the role

A Human Resource Assistant is needed in Kisumu on a contract basis, supporting the HR department with recruitment, employee records, payroll support and day-to-day HR administration. The advertised pay is Ksh 50,000 to 60,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing job advertisements and posting vacancies, screen applications and maintain recruitment databases
• Coordinate interview schedules, communicate with candidates and prepare interview documentation
• Conduct background verification and coordinate onboarding and induction programmes for new employees
• Maintain accurate HR documents, confidential company information, employee leave records and monitor daily staff attendance
• Prepare monthly payroll inputs and coordinate annual staff training and probationary performance assessments
• Respond to routine employee enquiries, assist in disciplinary and grievance handling and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in Human Resources and HR Information Systems
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
