Human Resource Officer

About the role

The Human Resource Officer reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for coordinating and implementing the company’s HR functions. The role ensures the organization attracts, develops, motivates, and retains competent employees while maintaining a productive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
• Maintain personnel records and HR documentation.
• Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Facilitate disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations processes.
• Assist with payroll processing and statutory compliance requirements.
• Administer staff leave entitlements and balances in liaison with team leaders.
• Monitor attendance, keep records, and generate related reports.
• Participate in the formulation, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct staff exit interviews and manage the handover and clearance process.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an HR function, preferably within the financial services or service‑based sector.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya labour laws and HR policies.
• Demonstrated ability in HR administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
• IHRM membership is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in HR administration, recruitment, and employee‑relations processes.
• Membership in professional HR bodies such as IHRM (advantage).
