About the role
The United Nations Office at Nairobi is seeking an Information Systems Officer at the P3 level to provide advanced operational oversight, coordination, and technical leadership for service‑provider‑style infrastructure operations. The incumbent will work within the Infrastructure Management Section of the ICT Service, reporting to the Chief of ICTS and the Chief of ICTS/IMS.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate infrastructure operations delivered by external service providers.
- Provide advanced operational oversight and technical direction for ICT infrastructure.
- Ensure alignment of infrastructure services with the needs of UN agencies supported by UNON.
- Report to and collaborate with the Chief, UNON/ICTS and the Chief, UNON/ICTS/IMS.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate complex ICT infrastructure services.
- Experience in technical leadership of service‑provider‑style operations.
- Capability to work under the guidance of senior ICT management.
