Innovation Specialist – Generation Unlimited (Remote)

About the role

The Innovation Specialist will support Generation Unlimited’s Youth Agency Marketplace (YOMA) – a global digital platform that connects young people with learning, employment, entrepreneurship and impact opportunities. Working remotely under the Innovation Manager, you will help shape the roadmap, drive technical integration and promote YOMA as a Digital Public Good.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to UNICEF Country Offices and national Generation Unlimited platforms.
• Manage the integrated YOMA technology roadmap and ecosystem architecture.
• Advance YOMA’s transition toward Digital Public Goods and Digital Public Infrastructure principles.
• Prioritise YoID‑first ecosystem integration and partner onboarding.
• Coordinate job‑matching, learning‑to‑earning, impact and credential pipelines.
• Support donor, government and private‑sector engagement and partnership development.
• Contribute to the rollout of the Generation Unlimited Digital Systems Strategy from a YOMA perspective.

Required profile

• Experience in managing digital platforms or innovation projects in an international development context.
• Strong understanding of digital public goods, digital identity systems and verifiable credentials.
• Proven ability to work remotely with multi‑stakeholder teams across countries.
• Excellent communication skills for technical assistance and partnership building.

Required skills

• Technical project management of digital platforms.
• Knowledge of ecosystem integration and digital public infrastructure.
• Familiarity with youth‑focused digital solutions (e.g., YoID, YOMA).
