Data QA Analyst – Validate Datasets & APIs

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our team. The role involves validating data accuracy, testing APIs, and ensuring the reliability of data‑related systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.
• Validate and analyze large datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Test APIs and verify data exchanged between systems.
• Create, execute, and document test cases, test plans, and test results.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support UAT efforts.
• Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing principles, and STLC.
• Experience working with and validating large datasets.
• Basic understanding of SQL and ability to query data for validation.
• Experience testing and validating APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced Agile environment.

Required skills

• SQL (basic querying).
• API testing tools such as Postman.
• Python scripting for test automation or data analysis.
• Test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps).
