Interim HRBP (6-Month Contract)

About the role

A leading indigenous investment bank in Kenya is strengthening its internal support functions, with Human Resources identified as a key strategic area. It is hiring an Interim HR Business Partner for a 6-month contract (up to 1 year) based in Nairobi, reporting to the Head of Human Resource and Administration. The role supports recruitment, employee relations, HR policies and performance management during a period of organisational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Talent acquisition: lead recruitment for priority business roles, manage the full recruitment lifecycle and support workforce planning
• Employee relations: support disciplinary processes, grievances and investigations, and advise management and employees in line with Kenyan labour laws
• HR policy review: assess and update HR policies and procedures, and support HR governance and compliance
• Performance management: develop and recommend a practical performance management framework
• HR operations: provide day-to-day HR support, maintain HR records and coordinate HR administration

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
• Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, including as an HR generalist in a fast-paced or growing organisation
• Strong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR compliance
• Experience reviewing HR policies and supporting performance management initiatives; banking, financial services or corporate experience is an advantage
