Investment Operations Assistant

About the role

CIC Group is hiring a full-time Investment Operations Assistant in Westlands, Nairobi, reporting to the Investment Operations Officer. The role covers trade settlement with custodians, settlement of corporate actions across portfolios and data entry in the core Fund Management system.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, prepare and transmit precise investment instructions to all custodians.
• Manage trades input and act as the main liaison between custodians and the Fund Manager.
• Verify that trade allocations and settlements are executed accurately and on time against custodian statements.
• Identify, track and resolve unmatched transactions with custodians, dealers and fund administrators.
• Review daily system entries, flag data anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations between custodian holdings and Fund Manager records.
• Track, process and manage corporate actions affecting the portfolios.
• Set up new products and onboard clients into the fund management system after successful tenders and RFPs.
• Maintain organized and compliant investment documents.
• Assist with process optimization and system testing for new updates and product launches.
• Take part in departmental planning, budgeting and meetings, and provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Professional qualification in CP, CFA or CISI is an added advantage.
