About the role

Nova Pioneer Athi River is seeking an enthusiastic IRE/Kiswahili Resident Teacher to join its innovative learning community. The successful candidate will deliver enquiry‑based lessons aligned with the Kenya curriculum and help shape the next generation of African innovators.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging IRE and Kiswahili lessons that meet Kenya curriculum standards.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and update lesson materials.
• Create a classroom environment that is organized, developmentally appropriate, and conducive to learning.
• Incorporate interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
• Set rigorous academic goals, provide constructive feedback, and monitor student mastery.
• Apply consistent behavior management strategies, rewarding positive conduct and modeling expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Achieved at least a C+ grade in the relevant teaching subjects.
• Ready to start immediately and able to work onsite in Athi River.
• Commitment to delivering 21st‑century, enquiry‑based education.
