IT Manager - QSSK

About the role

The QSSK IT Manager in Nairobi leads the technology function, acting as strategic partner to business leaders and responsible for IT strategy, project delivery, information security, service operations and data capabilities. The role is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the IT strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate strategy, set investment parameters and advise management on emerging technologies and AI governance
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications and lead digitisation and automation across Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Quality and Laboratory functions
• Manage the technology project portfolio and deliver multi-disciplinary projects within time, scope and budget, providing governance to business-led projects with systems or data components
• Identify, classify and mitigate vulnerabilities, maintain and test the disaster recovery plan, ensure compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and deliver cyber security awareness training
• Keep infrastructure, applications, networks and end-user services running reliably and securely, approve change requests, maintain the systems and asset register and report service performance monthly
• Build and maintain the data and analytics capability, including reporting platforms and data quality standards
• Develop and manage IT service management agreements, vendor performance and the ICT operating and capital budget

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; Master's degree is an added advantage
• 7+ years leading IT operations in a large or multi-site environment
• 5+ years of project management
• Demonstrated experience of ERP or business systems implementation
• Working knowledge of the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and experience operating IT in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment
