IT Support Officer

About the role

The IT Support Officer will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to staff at the Nairobi office and field locations of Missions of Hope International. The role combines hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance while upholding the organization’s Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers and networking devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end‑users.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of computers and laptops.
• Provide on‑site technical support to field offices and travel as required.
• Document incidents, solutions and maintain an inventory of IT assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of experience working in a busy IT department.
• Committed born‑again Christian whose lifestyle reflects Christian values.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and accountability.
