IT & Systems Engineer (NetSuite)

About the role

The IT & Systems Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise solutions that support core business processes. The role focuses on custom NetSuite extensions, integrations, and automated workflows to improve data integrity, performance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement system architecture and technical solutions for core business functions.
• Develop and maintain custom NetSuite applications using JavaScript (ES5/ES6) and, when needed, Python or Java.
• Create custom records, forms, fields, and workflow automations to streamline processes.
• Build and manage integrations with external platforms (CRM, billing, payment gateways) using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware connectors.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and integrity.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and saved searches for operational reporting.
• Troubleshoot system issues, script errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure changes follow development standards, security controls, and governance policies.
• Participate in audits, testing, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing scalable system architectures and custom ERP extensions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Experience working closely with developers, system administrators, and business users.
• Understanding of financial or accounting processes is a plus.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and follow best‑practice development standards.
