IT/System Auditor – Security & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for an IT/System Auditor to join our team in Nairobi. The role focuses on security and compliance assessments for our banking and finance clients. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure robust IT controls and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IT and systems audits, reviewing internal controls and processes.
• Conduct security and compliance assessments against industry standards.
• Identify control gaps and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and supporting documentation.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT audit, information security, or risk/compliance.
• Professional certification such as PCI QSA, CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or GIAC (at least one).

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience with risk management and compliance assessment methodologies.
• Ability to produce clear audit reports and documentation.
