Java Software Engineer – Backend Development

About the role

OBSS is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join its growing team of technology consultants. You will work on large‑scale, mission‑critical projects, designing and delivering high‑quality backend solutions that drive real business impact for clients in banking, finance, e‑commerce and more.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications according to project specifications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with client systems.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date program documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts and test plans.
• Review code and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Conduct post‑implementation reviews to verify system performance and cost objectives.
• Suggest process improvements and innovative approaches to enhance existing systems.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong back‑end development expertise, including system design and end‑to‑end architecture.
• High energy, motivation and strong communication skills.
