Junior Data Scientist – Fintech

About the role

As a Junior Data Scientist you will join Pezesha’s Data Team to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive credit, product, operations and business decisions in a fast‑moving fintech lending environment.

Key responsibilities

• Write SQL queries to extract, clean, transform and analyse data for internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of recurring business and portfolio reports and respond to ad‑hoc data requests.
• Conduct exploratory analysis of loan repayment, customer behaviour and portfolio performance, including segmentation and risk monitoring.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for internal teams and external lenders.
• Assist senior data scientists with dataset preparation, feature engineering and performance evaluation of machine‑learning and credit‑scoring prototypes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for datasets, metric definitions, ETL workflows and dashboards, promoting data quality and reproducibility.
