About the role
Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated Kiswahili Teacher to deliver the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) to primary and junior secondary learners. The role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing progress, and fostering a supportive classroom environment that promotes holistic development.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver weekly lesson plans aligned with the CBC framework for Kiswahili.
- Facilitate learner‑centered activities that address diverse learning needs.
- Administer formative and summative assessments, track progress, and provide feedback to learners and families.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and observations in compliance with school and ministry guidelines.
- Implement effective classroom management to ensure discipline and a safe learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects, school events, and co‑curricular programmes.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding learner development.
Required profile
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
- Mandatory teaching experience, preferably with CBC implementation.
- Strong command of Kiswahili language and curriculum standards.
- Commitment to nurturing competent, confident, and values‑driven learners.
