About the role
Egerton University seeks a Lecturer Grade 12 to join its Faculty of Law, focusing on Human Rights Law. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and academic service within a vibrant university community.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Human Rights Law.
- Design and supervise research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Prepare, administer, and grade examinations and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
- Publish scholarly work in refereed journals and contribute to the university’s research profile.
Required profile
- PhD in Human Rights Law from a recognised university (or a Master’s degree with equivalent experience).
- Minimum three years of university‑level teaching or relevant research/industry experience.
- At least 24 publication points, with a minimum of 16 points from refereed journals.
- Registration with the appropriate professional body where applicable.
