Level 3 Qualified Nursery Room Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee a vibrant early years setting at Cedars Day Nursery and Pre-school. You will create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years while supporting your team’s professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of your room, ensuring compliance with EYFS standards.
• Mentor and support staff, promoting best practices in early years education.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform development plans.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Years/Childcare (essential).
• Previous nursery or childcare experience, preferably in a senior or room‑leader role.
• Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Genuine passion for early childhood education.
