Locum Sonographer – Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Sonographer to join Penda Health on a locum basis. You will provide high‑quality ultrasound imaging across our network of medical centres, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in line with established practice parameters and standards of care.
• Prepare patients, verify identification and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Produce timely, accurate images and reports following SOPs.
• Maintain patient records, equipment logs and compliance documentation.
• Order and manage department supplies, implement stock control and conduct routine equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety, infection‑control policies and Penda Health’s vision and values.
• Travel to various Penda Medical Centres as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging Sciences.
• Valid professional licence where applicable.
• Minimum three years of sonography experience.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
• Proficient computer skills.
