Logistics Assistant for IRS Operations

About the role

The Logistics Assistant will support warehouse operations for indoor residual spraying (IRS) activities in Busia and Siaya counties. Working under the Warehouse Manager, the role involves receiving IRS commodities, distributing supplies to field sites, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive IRS commodities at the warehouse and coordinate distribution to operation site stores.
• Assist in inventory management, storage, and timely disposal of used or irreparable materials.
• Ensure vehicle log sheets are completed accurately and signed by responsible personnel.
• Plan and organise daily and weekly logistics movements in coordination with the Warehouse Manager.
• Oversee collection and proper storage of used insecticide sachets, bottles and PPE in county central stores.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in logistics, procurement, supplies or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience handling logistics and procurement in an established organisation.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili; ability to work long hours and six days a week.
• Physically fit to stand and walk for long periods and able to undergo a medical examination for insecticide exposure.
