Logistics Officer – Nairobi

About the role

Secours Islamique France is seeking a proactive Logistics Officer to lead logistics operations for its Kenya mission based in Nairobi. Reporting to the Head of Mission, the officer will ensure that procurement, stock, fleet and premises management comply with Kenyan regulations, SIF procedures and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all procurement activities for the Nairobi office, including purchase requests, supplier contracts and compliance with donor guidelines.
• Oversee inventory control, storage, asset tracking and the preparation of Goods Received Notes.
• Coordinate fleet operations, driver schedules, vehicle maintenance, travel and accommodation bookings.
• Ensure the office, guesthouse and warehouse facilities are secure, functional and well‑maintained.
• Supervise drivers and support staff, promoting adherence to safety standards and SIF policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly logistics reports and support procurement planning.

Required profile

• University degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum three years of logistics experience in an NGO setting.
• Professional certification in procurement or supply‑chain management.
• Proven experience supervising teams and building staff capacity.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑changing, cross‑cultural environment.
