Mail Services Specialist II (Tier 2) – Manda Bay

About the role

The Mail Services Specialist II (Tier 2) provides comprehensive mail handling and support services for the Manda Bay project. Responsibilities include picking up mail from military post offices, transporting, sorting, and delivering letters and packages to contractors and subcontractors across multiple camps, while ensuring compliance with DoD and USPS regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect mail from military post offices and transport it to the project site.
• Sort and deliver letter mail and packages to contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Obtain personal and intra‑departmental courier packages for distribution.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain accurate rosters of contractor and subcontractor personnel for postal compliance.
• Provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS) as required.
• Operate light and medium material handling equipment (MHE) safely.
• Perform duties in accordance with DoD 4525 series and USPS policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (or comparable education/experience).
• Minimum of two (2) years of related mail handling experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level.
• Valid U.S. passport and state driver’s license may be required.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment.

Required skills

• Operation of light and medium material handling equipment (MHE).
