Maintenance Supervisor – Luxury Safari Camp

About the role

Join Severin Safari Camp, a luxury safari camp inside Tsavo West National Park, Kenya, as our Maintenance Supervisor. You will keep the camp running safely and quietly, ensuring power, water, guest areas and plant remain reliable in a remote bush setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance to keep guest areas, plant and camp infrastructure reliable.
• Plan and execute a preventive maintenance routine to reduce recurring breakdowns.
• Brief, coach and allocate technicians, keeping the workshop organised and the team fully occupied.
• Respond quickly to job requests, especially guest‑facing faults, and close them with clear follow‑through.
• Maintain power, water and backup systems available around the clock.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure repairs do not disrupt guest stays.
• Protect tools, stock and company property; keep accurate records and end‑of‑shift reporting.
• Enforce safety, hygiene and a professional presence in guest areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in hotel, lodge or safari‑camp maintenance, including at least 1 year supervising technicians.
• Proven ability to run a full maintenance shift and a preventive maintenance plan.
• Hands‑on skill across electrical, plumbing and general building/plant maintenance, including generators.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to live on‑site, work rotating shifts (including weekends, public holidays and call‑outs) and follow a rotational leave pattern.
• Calm under pressure, guest‑first mindset and strong commitment to standards, safety and integrity.
