Management Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

The Management Accountant will lead financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management for our depot and factory operations. You will work closely with senior management to provide insights that drive profitability and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Kenyan accounting standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting process across all business units and monitor performance against budget.
• Manage cash flow, working capital planning and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Analyse production costs, product margins and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Develop and enforce internal financial controls, conduct periodic audits and mitigate risk.
• Ensure full compliance with Kenyan tax regulations and oversee statutory filings.
• Supervise depot accountants and accounts assistants, providing coaching and performance management.
• Oversee and optimise the use of the accounting ERP system (e.g., Acnker ERP).
• Provide financial insights for pricing, expansion plans and cost optimisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and resolve findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fully qualified CPA (K) in good standing with ICPAK.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in management accounting or finance.

Required skills

• Acnker ERP (or similar accounting ERP system).
