Head of Finance – Sub-Saharan Africa

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function across the Sub‑Saharan Africa region. This strategic role will influence business performance, strengthen financial governance and partner with senior leadership to drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee the general ledger, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable and month‑end reporting.
• Drive financial controls, process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Deliver insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team while building strong relationships across the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial management and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial governance.
• Proven leadership experience and excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen, analytical thinking and a passion for continuous improvement.
